Lake Conditions- Surface temperature is 66.5 Fahrenheit. The water visibility is about 2 to 4 ft., Lake Gauge is at 81.52.
Bass – Tommy Bossard out of Jacumba reported in this week with a couple three to four pounders as well as an 8 pound bucketmouth all off swim baits just walking the shoreline. Charles Bowers from Santee reported a pretty monstrous bass this week but had no scale on hand. As always several other rumors being heard this week of big bass being caught but nothing official and no other pictures. Your best bet is Roboworms, senkos, swim baits, rattle traps, crank baits, drop shots, or jigs.
Catfish – The catfish bite continues to get better as more people show up with their limits and more evidence in the fish cleaning booth, but no actual reports made at the office. Good choice of baits would be mackerel, night crawlers, Bonita or chicken liver.
