  • Bass fishing has been very good on fly-lined plastics, jerkbaits, jigs, and topwaters just about anywhere on the lake. Most of the bass are 1.5 – 2 pounds, though Matt Green of El Cajon used a senko to fool a 6.7 pounder in Barona Arm.

Bluegill went on the chew last Sunday and were reportedly taking nightcrawlers and small inline spinners such as Roostertails and Panther Martins. There were no crappie or redear sunfish checked in at the marina last week.

There were rumors of a 70 pound blue catfish caught, and people targeting the lakes blue cats have been getting some action on cut mackerel fished in creek and river channels.
