There have been a few of the larger red ear showing up lately, with fish to 3 lbs. reported. It’s been sight fishing for the shellcrackers, with red worms being the bait of choice.
There has been a few of the big blue catfish cruising the shallows, but no reports of being caught as of yet.
Palm size bluegill are still in the mix and have been coming out of the backs of coves, and areas where there is still aquatic vegetation on, or near the bank. Half of a night crawler has been the top choice for the ‘gills.
