  • The bass bite came on strong at the end of the week, with some anglers reporting as many as 40 bass for their efforts! Topwaters early and late, and finesse techniques in the middle of the day have been producing the best. The water temperature is about 77 degrees at the surface.

The bluegill bite has slowed some, but many anglers are still connecting with bluegills up to 2 pounds on fly-lined nightcrawlers.

It was reported that there were a few people that tapped into the lake’s crappie population, though no locations were disclosed.

Catfish once again went unreported last week, as most anglers have been chasing the bass and panfish.
