Lake Skinner Fish Report – 5/29/17

  • Striper: Medium Action. They are deep out by the inlet in the middle of the lake and hitting on chicken livers, anchovies, and racy flicker shad which we carry are the store.

    Bluegill: Slow Action. Red worms, wax worms, nightcrawlers and plastic worms in coves and reeds are catching bluegill. They are also around Ramp 2.

    Catfish: High Action. The catfish can be seen all around Launch Ramp 2 and the South Shore. They are biting on silver senkos, chicken livers, and nightcrawlers. We are receiving regular stocks.

    Largemouth Bass: Medium Action. Roboworms have been doing the trick in green, purple, and watermelon. Plastics with red flakes are working also. The East End is hitting, as well as the coves on the South Shore. Start looking deeper for them as temperatures are increasing.

    Trout: No Action.

    Carp: Medium Action. Many seen near catfish alley and along the South Shore. Use your favorite carp doughballs along the banks or under heavy cover.
