Lake Hodges to close for the season October 29th

  • The City of San Diego will shut things down at Lake Hodges for the season on Sunday, October 29th. Hodges will reopen for the 2018 fishing season next February.

This concludes what amounted to a pretty rough fishing season at Lake Hodges this year with high water levels spreading out the fish and contributing to seemingly poor water quality conditions.

While some anglers claim to have had great seasons at Hodges with little competition for space on the water from other anglers, it was notably tough for most everyone else.

Hopefully things stabilize at Lake Hodges and the fishing rebounds for a more productive 2018 for anglers.
