San V plays host to Anglers Marine Tournament this Saturday

  • San Vicente, which reopened this summer, will play host to the biggest team tournament field in SoCal on Saturday when the Anglers Marine Customer Appreciation Trail makes their 1st of 2 stops at San V this year.

A field of 75+ competing teams is expected, which would make it one of the largest tournaments held at San Vicente since the turn of the century. The city of San Diego had imposed a 50 team limit on tournaments this year, which were first allowed beginning in January – but they’ve elected to lift that limit due to the time of year and not being under threat of reaching the 150 boat limit on the lake that day.

The Anglers Marine Customer Appreciation Tournament Trail features a popular 100% payback, 3 division format, making it appealing to bass anglers of all skill levels. The only requirement, being a customer appreciation tournament, is that one of the team members must have purchased a tournament capable boat from Anglers Marine during its 34 year history, and use that boat during the tournament.

There are still slots available in the tournament, so if you or your teammate meet that requirement – sign up and slug it out on Southern California’s hottest bass fishery this Saturday.

To sign up, call Anglers Marine at (714)666-2628 by Friday at noon to be entered into the boat draw for “blast off” order. You can still up at the lake on Saturday morning as well, but you’ll be going out last.

The bottom gate is supposed to open as early as 4:30 AM on Saturday, Anglers Marine will be set up to collect entries at that point at the bottom of the hill.
