Fate of 12-month fishing license could be determined Sept 1st

The California Sportfishing League reports that the fate of the proposed 12-month fishing license for the state of California could be determined tomorrow, September 1st. Below is an email they sent subscribers today, imploring anglers to make their voices heard.

On Friday, Assembly Member Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher the chair of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, will announce the fate of Senator Tom Berryhill’s 12-month fishing license bill (Senate Bill 187).

If the bill reports out of committee, the State Assembly could vote on SB 187 by next week and if it passes, it will move to Governor Jerry Brown’s Office.

Anglers have a voice in the political process, but we need to be heard – with your help!

Contact Assembly Member Gonzalez Fletcher TODAY. Tomorrow is too late!

Any chance you can break down exactly what this bill will mean? I’m not familiar with it.
