Bonefish

Bonefish

Bonefish have taken up a good hold in South Bay area of San Diego Bay, occupying the warm shallow flats. There are enough of them in the bay now that they can be specifically targeted, most often caught drifting ghost shrimp on a light carolina rig on spinning tackle. While they don't get as big as some of the ones around other parts of the world, mostly in the 1-2 pound range with occasional 3 pounders, they still put up one heck of a fight on light tackle.
