Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know this sportfishing season is shaping up to be one for the books – a once in a lifetime year that we’ll be talking about for decades to come. If you don’t capitalize on it, you could be kicking yourself for the rest of your life.
Captain Brian Morris of Fin Runner Sportfishing Charters is ready, and he’s eager to put you on the best fishing of your life.
After a lifetime of fishing experience that’s seen him tackle fish in several of the world’s regions – from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Micronesia, Panama, the Azores, Hawaii, Mexico and the Mediterranean Sea – Morris landed in San Diego 12 years ago and has been putting in his time on the local sportfishing waters ever since. At each stop of his life, Captain Brian has absorbed techniques and cultures of the locals, giving him a unique set of variable fishing skills that he uses to put his clients on memorable trips, one after another.
Because he’s so well versed, Captain Morris has embraced all forms of saltwater fishing in San Diego – from San Diego Bay to the offshore banks. He compares San Diego Bay to the freshwater fishery he grew up with on the coast of North Carolina. There he was exposed to 4,800 square miles of prime bass fishing. “You really had to work for it and be willing to travel in your bass boat,” he recalled of his time there. That willingness to search and work to find fish translates well to the inshore and bay scene, where fish move with tides and currents, and he applies it for bay bass, calico bass, and halibut.
But offshore is where Captain Brian really shines. His extensive knowledge of pelagic fish like wahoo, marlin, tuna and dorado has made him one of the area’s top producing captains. Dorado for instance, are a piece of cake for Morris who calls them “the easiest fish in the ocean to catch, they’re everywhere offshore.”
Fishing is what Captain Brian Norris does for a living. Whether you’re an adventurous and seasoned offshore angler, or a novice looking to experience the incredible sportfishing fishery first hand, Morris would love to get you on the water.
And the time is now…this is going to be one for the books. You want to capitalize and spend this epic season with someone who knows how to catch them.
