Crystal Pier

#10 – Crystal Pier

  • Crystal Pier extends 872 feet out over Pacific Beach, sitting on top of a sandy surfline habitat that holds a TON of surf perch, croaker, rays, and leopard sharks.

Barred surf perch are particularly plentiful and easy to target. Sand crabs, small squid strips, mussels, worms, and artificial baits like Berkley Gulp are good baits to start with. If you want to leave your options open, and catch a wide variety of species including small rays like the one pictured above, give frozen squid a go.

Finding parking along the street can be the most difficult part of your fishing trip, especially during the summer.
